Do you ever find yourself daydreaming about strolling through Epcot’s World Showcase and just enjoying the cultures at each country pavilion, perhaps with a tasty drink in hand?
Ah, the Disney magic!
I swear all stress melts away when I’m walking the world showcase with a margarita in hand.
Now, I know we all love our precious Avocado margarita from La Cava Del Tequila or a Diablo Margarita from the Choza de Margarita stand, but did you know there is another margarita star at Epcot, and it isn’t at the Mexico pavilion? That’s right! You can find a delicious frozen margarita in the Italy pavilion, and I promise you it does NOT disappoint. Let’s get right into how to make it!
I’m sharing a little slice of the Italy Pavilion right in your kitchen. We’re making a similar recipe close to Epcot’s Italian Margarita, a highlight from the Italian restaurants and festival menu items that many Disney fans adore.
This recipe is not only a nod to those wonderful Walt Disney World memories but is also so simple—perfect for us busy moms who want a quick taste of vacation without leaving home.
So, if you’re like me, and love to bring Epcot into your home when you can’t physically be there, stick around.

How to Make An Italian Margarita
Who doesn’t love a good margarita right!? Tequila-infused or a mocktail version they are always so tasty. I have a recipe for you that has a little bit of a twist on the traditional margarita…a margarita that includes the famous Italian lemon liqueur, Limoncello.
Below, find a copycat recipe for Epcot’s Limoncello Margarita that’s so easy to make it only needs four simple ingredients and is done in three steps.
Makes 2 8 oz drinks
Ingredients:
- 1⁄3 C fresh lime juice
- 2⁄3 C triple sec
- 2⁄3 C limoncello
- 2⁄3 C tequila (preferably silver tequila)
- 5 C Ice
- Lemon slices, lime slices, mint, maraschino cherries to garnish
Step-by-Step Italian Margarita Directions:
- Using a blender, add the ice, fresh lime juice, triple sec, limoncello, and tequila
- Blend until the cocktail is a slushy mixture
- Pour into glasses and garnish with your favorite garnish
- Enjoy!

Kid-Friendly Drink Modifications
Making the Epcot Italian Margarita family-friendly means ensuring everyone, including the little ones, can join in on the fun.
Here’s how you can tweak this Disney-inspired treat to become a non-alcoholic version:
- Replace the tequila and limoncello with a blend of lemon-lime soda and a splash of non-alcoholic triple sec. This keeps the citrusy charm without the alcohol.
- Keep the fresh lime juice as it offers a natural zest that’s crucial for that authentic taste of Disney’s World Showcase cocktails.
Finish off your non-alcoholic beverages with fun garnishes. Here are two of my favorite ideas:
- Make fruit skewers. Let the kids thread their choice of fruits on skewers. Think Disney—bright colors and fun shapes! Use cookie cutters to make Mickey-shaped melon or pineapple pieces.
- Add in colorful umbrellas: No Disney drink is complete without a little spectacle! Add colorful umbrellas or sparkly straws to give that festive feel, mimicking the atmosphere of the Epcot festivals and vacation vibes.

What to pair with the Italian Margarita
Now that you have your delicious marg, let’s grab you some snackies to go with it.
- Italian Snacks: Pair with kid-friendly Italian nibbles like mini focaccia ripieni (stuffed bread) or simple cheese and tomato sauce pizza bites.
- Disney-Inspired Treats: Go all out with Disney park favorites like Dole Whip or create your own Mickey-shaped treats to keep the theme going. Maybe pair it with another snack from another pavilion, like a pretzel from the Germany Pavilion or a school break from the Norway Pavilion.
- Chips and Salsa: And, of course, no margarita is complete with chips and salsa. Maybe switch it up with mango salsa or something a little different
Health and Safety Tips
When enjoying our Epcot-inspired Italian Margarita, keeping health and safety in mind ensures a fun and responsible family experience.
- Adult Supervision: Always ensure that alcoholic versions are kept separate from non-alcoholic ones and are clearly marked.
- Setting Limits: Even for adults, enjoying a drink responsibly means knowing when to stop, especially when around children.
- Stay Hydrated: Keep plenty of water available, especially if you’re enjoying the day outdoors or simulating a busy day visiting the pavilions at Epcot.
- Mindful Consumption: Just like you would with Limoncello, take sips rather than gulps to fully enjoy the flavor and the moment.
