In this post: You know those moments when you’re sipping something and thinking… yep, this is the best part of being an adult…or maybe Disney adults? Well, that’s the Dole Whip Martini. It is everything you love about the classic Disney Dole Whip, but with a little bit of rum (and vanilla vodka… and coconut). You’ll think you just transported right to Tamu Tamu Refreshments at Animal Kingdom.
And don’t worry! You can find a kid-friendly mocktail version below, as well. Because just like Disney, I want both adults and kiddos to enjoy my recipes.

So, if you’ve ever stood in a long line at Aloha Isle in Magic Kingdom, you know there is some major hype around pineapple Dole Whip. And while we can’t always be in Disney World, which, quite frankly, isn’t very fair, we can bring a little tropical magic home, this time in a martini glass.

Ingredients You’ll Need
You only need a few things, and they’re probably already on your bar cart or in your freezer:
- 2 oz pineapple juice (or fresh pineapple juice, if you want to go all in)
- 1 oz vanilla vodka
- 1 oz coconut rum
- ½ oz lime juice (or lemon juice – whatever citrus you have)
- Optional: splash of coconut milk for a creamier finish
- Whipped cream (for topping!)
- Ice
- Martini glass (because yes, you deserve to feel fancy)
If you’re into garnishes, you can add pineapple wedges, a cherry, or even pipe a swirl of vanilla ice cream on top using a piping bag, but it’s totally up to you.

How to Make a Dole Whip Martini
Making this boozy Dole Whip recipe is super easy and takes less time than watching a TikTok of it. Here’s what to do:
1. Grab your cocktail shaker and fill it with ice.
2. Add your pineapple juice, vanilla vodka, coconut rum, and lime juice.

3. Shake it like you’re dancing at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.
4. Strain into a chilled martini glass.

5. Top with whipped cream, a cherry, or a wedge of pineapple.

Serve immediately and enjoy.
Variations to Try
- Stronger version: add 1 oz regular vodka, reduce pineapple juice by 1 oz
- Lighter version: reduce pineapple juice to 3–4 oz
- No whipped cream: still tasty but slightly less creamy. If you aren’t a huge whipped cream fan, you could also add in a tiny bit of coconut milk to add some creaminess.
We’re not going to stop there. I promised you a mocktail version, so keep going for that!

Dole Whip Martini
Equipment
- Cocktail shaker
- Jigger or small liquid measuring cup
- 2 Martini glasses (or serving glass of your choice)
Ingredients
- 3 ounces whipped cream vodka
- 2 ounce Malibu Rum or other coconut-flavored rum
- 10 ounces pineapple juice
- Whipped cream like Reddi-Whip
Instructions
- Add ice to your cocktail shaker.
- Pour the whipped cream vodka, Malibu rum, and pineapple juice into the shaker and shake well for about 15-20 seconds.
- Pour the mixture into a martini glass.
- Top with whipped cream.
- Serve and enjoy!
Notes
- This can be adjusted in a few different ways. If you want to make a smaller and stronger drink, reduce the pineapple juice to 7-8 ounces. If you just want a stronger drink, add 2 ounces of regular vodka (keeping the whipped cream vodka and the Malibu) and reduce the pineapple juice by 1 ounce.
- Use Dole light pineapple juice for the same great flavor with fewer calories.
- The whipped cream garnish can be omitted for those who don’t like whipped topping or if you don’t have any at home. It will just be a bit less creamy (as the whipped cream slowly oozes into the drink), but it will still have the essence of the flavor due to the whipped cream vodka.
Make It Your Own
There are lots of ways to give this drink your own spin. You can:
- Add a dash of triple sec for extra citrus.
- Throw in a few pineapple chunks and blend it into a frozen drink.
- Swap in plain vodka or even spiced rum if that’s what you have.
- Use simple syrup if you want it sweeter (totally personal preference).
- Add a bit of vanilla ice cream and a frozen banana for a full-on pineapple whip smoothie vibe.
This is one of those cocktail recipes that’s hard to mess up and easy to love.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can I make this a frozen drink instead of shaken?
Yes, and this is such a great idea! Add everything to a blender with ice and a scoop of vanilla ice cream or frozen pineapple for a pineapple upside twist.
Q: What’s the best vodka to use?
Vanilla vodka adds that creamy Dole Whip flavor, but if you only have plain vodka, it’ll still work. Just sweeten it a bit with simple syrup or a dash of vanilla extract.
Q: Can I make it kid-friendly?
Totally! Just use my recipe above. Blend pineapple juice, coconut milk, and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. They’ll love it.
Q: How can I make it for a crowd?
Use large containers to mix up a batch ahead of time. Just hold off on the whipped cream until you’re ready to serve.
