I’m not sure if you’re anything like me, but I love going over the top for Star Wars Day on May the 4th. One of my favorite ways to celebrate is inspired by The Mandalorian series very own baby Yoda.
And I think it’s about time we talk about the toast of the galaxy – the Baby Yoda Margarita.
This isn’t just any ordinary drink; it’s a tribute to the character everyone loves from The Mandalorian, and believe me, it’s as cute as it sounds! I’m going to share my favorite recipe for the special day, along with alternative recipes and a mocktail to ensure the whole family can join in the fun!
Expert Tips for a Perfect Margarita
Want to master the Baby Yoda Margarita? First things first – balance and proportion are your friends.
Start with the freshest lime juice for that tangy kick.
Also, don’t shy away from premium tequila – like Patron or something from the top shelf. Trust me, a quality tequila is key. Plus, if you drink more than one, top-notch tequila will help the next day not be so rough.
No, seriously, there is science backing this! Pure tequila (like the stuff that’s from 100% agave) can help reduce hangovers because it doesn’t contain sugary syrups or wood aging, which can cause chemical impurities called “congeners,” which can increase hangovers.
Remember, whether you’re a professional bartender or crafting this kitchen creation for your Instagram stories, it’s all about the fun experience. So, let’s get into it!

How To Make the Baby Yoda Margarita
Want to make the cutest Star Wars Cocktails in the galaxy? I’m going to share my favorite margarita recipe below and how to transform it into baby Yoda, along with other recipes for those who have other preferences!
First up is the Baby Yoda Margarita!
Ingredients
- 2oz Lime Juice
- 2oz Tequila
- 2oz Triple Sec
- Ice Cubes
- 2 Black Olives
- 2 Lime wedges
- Kabob Stick or wooden skewer
- Cocktail Sword
- Square Piece of Brown Burlap or Brown Napkin
- A coupe glass or a simple martini glass
First, gather your ingredients, and place the ice cubes into a margarita glass.

Pour in the tequila & Triple Sec. Top off with lime juice. The sourness of the fresh lime juice really makes this drink so good. Sometimes I add a tad more for the tartness.

Cut a kabob stick in half and poke two olives through to create eyes. Place the stick on the glass.

Add two lime slices for the floppy ears.

To make baby Yoda’s outfit, wrap the glass stem with a small sheet of burlap wrap and secure it with a cocktail sword.
And Voila! You made a baby Yoda margarita. So easy, right!?
INSIDER TIP: If you don’t like olives, use blueberries or even Maraschino cherries. Also, if you don’t have burlap, try a brown paper bag instead!
